Type(s) of Therapy
Psychotherapy
Life can be challenging! If you are longing to feel closer to your partner, a mix of couples & individual therapy or workshops can help revitalize your relationship. If work has become overwhelming, relaxation, assertiveness & time management techniques can reduce the stress. If you are a parent trying to do it all with no time for yourself? Family therapy & parental guidance can help put you back in control of your life.
I practice time-sensitive therapy which is as brief as possible, however our therapeutic relationship lasts for life. Whenever issues arise, clients can & do return for "tune-ups" or to address a new challenge.
As a licensed psychologist in CT & MA, (Masters (cumlaude) in Clinical Child Psychology (1976) & a Doctorate in Professional Psychology(1986)), I've developed an active, health driven eclectic approach. I work with children & adults using individual, couple, family & group techniques, as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), & hypnosis.
Areas of specialization: life transitions, stress management, women's issues, marriage enhancement, career change, & enhancing self-esteem, focus, productivity & creativity. I offer a variety of emotional fitness training workshops & have developed a series of CDs for relaxation, focus & stress management. To learn more, call or visit my website.
