About Me

I am a qualified Psychosynthesis Counsellor, Cognitive Behavioural Life Coach and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACPPGDip).

I have 27 years of experience in counselling and empowerment.

I work with issues such as anxiety, stress, grief, change, mood and outlook.

Techniques include increasing happiness, relaxation and meditation, dealing with anxiety, stress or loss, goal setting and a holistic approach to well being.

I work online and in-person in Burntisland Fife, in a Covid Safe, comfortable environment.

Counselling techniques include:

  • relaxation, meditation and visualisation
  • working with anxiety, stress, loss and change
  • positive thinking and behaviours, coaching, goal setting
  • holistic approach to well being for body, mind and soul

Counselling is available for men and women of 16 years upwards and I am experienced in working with elderly clients.

Concessions are available for those on low incomes.

As a person and a Counsellor, I am a passionate believer in living our potential in life and embracing the journey of life and all it brings.

Training & Qualifications

Having trained at the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust in London, I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling accredited by the BACP and University of East London.

I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP.

I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Life Coach skilled in CBT delivery and Life Coaching practice.

In addition to private practice I have worked as a short term Counsellor for Employee and Assistance Programmes including RedArc Nursing, Sugarman Health and Well Being, Dover Counselling Centre and Empathy Counselling Service.

With over 26 years combined experience in counselling and empowerment roles, I also worked for the charities Macmillan Cancer Support and Mencap.

In addition to counselling, I’ve held strategic roles for public and private sector organisations including Social Services, building and construction, the arts and entertainment. ​In these roles I gained understanding of organisational psychology, dynamics and issues common to the modern work place, including stress and the need for well being at a personal and organisational level.

At Strathclyde University I gained a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Politics and Sociology.

The Psychosynthesis and Education Trust is a member of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) and founding member of the European Federation of Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy (EFPP).
