I am a highly experienced Chartered Clinical Psychologist based in Fife and I would like to offer my services to help you.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, but I am here to guide you through any obstacles you may face.
I understand that taking the first steps to seek help and talk about your problems can be daunting. My aim is to hopefully put you at ease throughout this process.
I have been a qualified Clinical Psychologist for 26 years and have worked as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist for 16 years. I have Chartered status with the British Psychological Society and am registered with the HCPC, the regulating body for Clinical Psychologists.
I am a warm, compassionate, approachable and empathic person. I believe that trust and collaboration in therapy is vitally important in helping people deal with their problems, tailoring my approach to meet your individual needs.
I work with adults and have a wealth of expertise in helping people who experience a range of mental health difficulties. I offer both assessment and therapy for a number of common psychological issues ranging from anxiety, depression, anger and stress to trauma. This list is not exhaustive and I help people with many different issues.
I offer both in-person and online appointments. If we meet face to face, my office is a relaxed, confidential setting with a serviced reception and waiting area. I offer a safe, private and calm environment to discuss any psychological problems which are currently affecting you.
Online sessions generally take place on Zoom. Both Assessment and Therapy Appointments last 50/60 minutes.
I tend to meet with people either weekly or fortnightly for therapy depending on their situation.
Most of all, I want you to feel comfortable and safe enough to open up and talk about how you are feeling. Trust is an important part of the therapeutic process.
Please contact me or view my website if you would like to find out more about the services I offer.
I look forward to hearing from you.
I am a Clinical Psychologist, which means I have been trained to the highest level to help people who are experiencing emotional or personal distress.
I use my knowledge of psychology (which is the study of how people behave, think and feel) to help people reduce their emotional distress, promote their strengths and enhance their wellbeing.
I have 30 years of experience working in the NHS. I have been a qualified Clinical Psychologist for 26 years and worked as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in NHS Fife for 16 years.
I have also completed training in various therapies over the years including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Focus Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and EMDR.
Perhaps you’re not sure if therapy is for you. Let’s have a conversation to find out if I can help.
Complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss your situation and decide if you want to go ahead with a full assessment with me. It gives us both the chance to see if this service is the best fit for you. This appointment usually takes place by telephone or we can communicate by email if you prefer.
An in-depth assessment of your situation and problems lasting approximately 50-60 minutes. A shared understanding of your difficulties will be discussed including a plan for therapy, if appropriate.
Therapy sessions last for approximately 50-60 minutes.
I offer a number of evidence-based therapies with CBT being the main approach I use. Therapy can be either short or long term, depending on your situation and the approach used. I offer weekly or fortnightly appointments with some degree of flexibility.
I provide supervision on an hourly basis for psychologists and mental health colleagues. I have over 20 years experience of supervising mental health professionals.
