I’m Tina, a BACP registered Integrative Therapist providing online, phone, and in-person sessions.
I’m dedicated to helping people heal and restore, fostering an environment where they can feel accepted to embrace their authenticity and overcome emotional, mental, and physical challenges.
I am trained in and integrate person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural and embodied therapies to suit you.
My style is warm, collaborative, and affirming, and I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the core of successful therapy.
My passion in counselling is to create a relationship built on safety, trust, and hope, where people feel accepted and challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways.
My formal training is in Integrative Counselling which means I combine different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of the individual client. I tailor my work to my client’s experiences, emotions, feelings, and approaches to life.
My main approach is relational, and I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is the core of successful therapy.
I am trained in and also utilise person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural (CBT) psychotherapeutic models.
I embed embodied somatic approaches and creative practices into my work where appropriate, paying close attention to what our bodies are often telling us.
This can also be a wonderful entry point into our psyche when talking therapy may be challenging.
My services are available online, over the phone UK-wide, and face-to-face to clients in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire.
Many people prefer the connection of face-to-face sessions and can benefit from accessing more creative methods in person.
I offer in-person sessions from a counselling room in Northampton, and from Bedford (on Tuesdays).
I offer flexible weekly sessions for both adults 18+. Sessions are up to 50 minutes and cost £50.00.
More and more people are now choosing online therapy due to its numerous benefits.
Online sessions mean that you are not restricted by geographical location, you can relax in the comfort of your own home, and book at a time that really suits you and your lifestyle.
Online sessions take place weekly via a secure platform and the fee for a 50-minute session is £50.
Before embarking on my journey as a counsellor, I attained a BA Hons in Performance Studies, which propelled me into the dynamic realms of arts and health.
Within this domain, I served as a dedicated dance practitioner, educator, producer, and manager, specialising in the design, development, and execution of arts in health initiatives across diverse sectors including the NHS, community, education, private, and third-sector organisations.
This part of my career endures to this day, seamlessly complementing and enhancing my therapeutic interventions.
Furthermore, I dedicated substantial years to a prominent mental health charity, where I led a team in delivering both non-clinical and clinical therapeutic outcomes in collaboration with health professionals.
Seeing the impact of the work unfold, I recognised the limitless and universal nature of healing through multiple methods.
So I delved into the depths of my own human experience, thirsting for connectedness and new learning. This quest brought me towards therapy, where I next embarked on training as a therapist leading me to where I am today.
In addition to my creative health endeavours, I currently run a private practice and contribute to a charitable counselling organisation based in Bedford.
I find it important as a therapist to be engaged in learning in this field which can provide information on how to best help people experience well-being and thrive.
This helps me stay updated with current information and approaches and reminds me that I help other people grow best when I continue to find ways to grow myself.
Therefore you will often find my head deep in books, attending continual professional development, seeking out new and exciting ways to work and support people to be the best versions of themselves.
